Strong communications professional with account management responsibilities needed for growing life science/biopharmaceutical practice. Position requires solid experience in corporate communications planning and execution, media relations, financial communications, messaging and press release development. Understanding of integration of multiple audience communications and application of digital strategies.

Account Executive/Senior Account Executive

Position requires solid experience in account management including press releases, backgrounders and other communications materials, investor and media pitching, development and execution of corporate presentations, assisting in development of public relations and investor relations plans and investor perception audits. Experience in event planning and execution would be a plus.

Job Requirements
Successful candidate will be a detail-oriented self-starter with 3-5 years of agency or related experience in healthcare in particular for biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries or technology.  Strong time management skills and an unflappable personality as well as a proven ability to write effective communications are all skills that are crucial to this role.   Undergraduate degree in communications, public relations or finance is preferred.

Account Coordinator

Self-starting detail oriented professional needed to  support our clients' public and investor relations activities as well as strategic communications efforts. Being part of the big picture, you will help to ensure project execution is seamless.

Job Requirements
Successful candidates must have a strong desire to learn and a degree in communications, business or related field with strong writing, project management and software skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook). Experience with internships and perhaps one other role working in a consulting firm or related company is preferred. Related agency experience working in healthcare or technology as well as an unflappable personality are desirable.

LaVoieHealthScience interns work with an innovative account team on key pharma and biotech accounts as well as assisting with the agency’s marketing and thought leadership efforts. Our interns grow professionally through exposure to a wide range of corporate and product marketing and communications, media relations and investor relations accounts and projects. Responsibilities include providing assistance on a wide range projects, including corporate website, email and conference marketing; client service including media list building, database maintenance, press release dissemination, media relations and outreach, investor relations and outreach, and account management. We also ask our interns to help with some office management tasks.

This is a three month or 480-hour, paid part time or full time position and has the potential to lead into an Account Coordinator role.

Job Requirements
Our ideal candidate is enrolled as a senior or has recently graduated from a higher education institution and has some experience working as an intern in an agency environment. Degrees or majors in Communications, Public Relations or related programs are most relevant and provide the necessary groundwork for the responsibilities in this position.
Candidates should be familiar with all Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Photoshop and Illustrator experience is also helpful. The ability to multitask, manage time and take constructive criticism is important as this role requires both working in a group and independently. Most importantly, the ideal candidate will be eager to learn about the life science industry and LavoieHealthScience.

Business Development Manager

Join a health science focused integrated communications agency and be part of the agency's second phase of growth.
As a recognized health science strategic communications firm, we seek a manager to develop and manage the firm's business development, marketing and related functions, including proposals and contracts as well as website and thought leadership.  The successful candidate will love the field of health and science and will excel at understanding what companies in the field are doing (i.e. advancing in the clinic, financing, regulatory approvals, etc.).

Job Requirements
Candidates must have  two years of related experience in the business development and marketing field with demonstrated expertise and/or interest in the health science industries. Professional must be a detail-oriented self starter and have the right client facing personality. Demonstration of a process for tracking, organizing and follow up is essential.
